Winter Boggy Runs!
Mud, mud glorious mud!
For all our best efforts we still have mud in our chicken runs! There are some things you can do to help. Put some perches in your run, branches work best and give them a break from the mud. If you can cover or part cover the run with a tarp or shade this will give then hens some protection from the rain. Also have a think about putting something down on the ground, wood chip is the most cost effective option.
We would love to hear how your hens are managing in the mud...please let us know how you are managing the mess!
Some amazing run options (sadly not ours!)
